(A) JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a Head - Core Platform Engineering to build and lead the platform organization responsible
for the foundational infrastructure, shared services, and engineering platforms that power all company
products.
This role will define the internal platform architecture, developer infrastructure, and governance
frameworks that enable product teams to build scalable systems faster and more reliably.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, developer
platforms, identity systems, data infrastructure, and large-scale distributed systems.

The Core Platform organization will include the following areas:
• Developer Platform (Internal PaaS)
• Shared Services
• Identity & Access Platform
• Observability Platform
• Data Infrastructure
• API Gateway & Integration Platform
• Architecture Governance

The Head of Core Platform Engineering will own the technical vision, architecture standards, and
engineering leadership across these areas.

(B) JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITY
1. Platform Strategy
• Define and execute the Core Platform strategy for the company.
• Build internal platforms that enable product teams to move faster with fewer operational dependencies.
• Standardize engineering practices across products.

2. Developer Platform (Internal PaaS)
• Build an Internal Developer Platform (IDP) to simplify deployments and infrastructure management.
• Enable self-service infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and environment provisioning.
• Improve developer productivity and reduce operational overhead.

3. Shared Platform Services
Build reusable platform capabilities such as:
• Authentication services
• Notification systems
• Messaging infrastructure
• Configuration management
• Feature flagging
• Caching layers

4. Identity & Access Platform
• Design and manage centralized authentication and authorization systems.
• Implement SSO, RBAC, token-based security, and identity federation.

5. Observability Platform
• Build centralized monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting systems.
• Enable teams to debug production systems faster.
• Implement standards for SLOs, SLIs, and reliability engineering.

6. Data Infrastructure
Build and manage platform-level data infrastructure including:
• Data pipelines
• Data lake or warehouse systems
• Data access frameworks
• Large-scale data processing platforms

7. API Gateway & Integration Platform
• Establish centralized API gateway architecture.
• Manage API lifecycle, security, rate limiting, and traffic management.
• Enable standardized integration across internal and external systems.

8. Architecture Governance
• Define architecture standards and review processes.
• Ensure consistency across engineering teams.
• Drive best practices for distributed systems, security, and scalability.

Leadership Responsibilities
• Build and lead the Core Platform Engineering organization.
• Mentor platform engineers and technical leads.
• Partner with product engineering teams to improve developer velocity.
• Drive platform adoption across engineering teams.
• Define engineering standards and platform roadmaps.

1. Platform Engineering Leadership
• Experience leading platform engineering or infrastructure teams.
• Experience designing shared engineering platforms used by multiple teams.

2. Distributed Systems & Architecture
Strong background in:
• Distributed systems
• Cloud-native architectures
• Service architecture
• API design
• System reliability

3. Platform Engineering & Infrastructure
Deep understanding of:
• Platform engineering
• Developer platforms
• Infrastructure automation
• Shared platform architectures

4. Technical Expertise
Strong experience in areas such as:
• Cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure)
• Container platforms(Kubernetes)
• Infrastructure as Code
